About Course

Course Description:

This course is designed to provide a comprehensive training on Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) using SolidWorks V.2.0 software. The course is intended for engineers, researchers, and students who want to learn CFD modeling techniques to analyze and optimize complex industrial problems. The course covers theoretical foundations of CFD, modeling techniques, software tools, and applications to industrial problems.

The course will begin with an introduction to CFD and its applications in industry. Participants will learn how to use SolidWorks V.2.0 software to create and simulate 3D models of complex industrial problems. The course will cover topics such as fluid flow analysis, turbulence modeling, heat transfer analysis, and multiphase flow analysis. Participants will also learn about numerical methods and simulation techniques used in CFD.

The course will include hands-on exercises and projects to give participants practical experience in modeling and analyzing complex industrial problems. Participants will work on real-world problems such as flow over an airfoil, heat transfer in a heat exchanger, and fluid flow in a centrifugal pump.

This coursework contains 26 videos with a duration of approximately 11 hours. All the videos are about CFD analysis and Optimization using SolidWorks. The videos are about industry specific problems, represented in a simple manner with simpler examples. This course is made keeping in mind about the intermediate & advanced learners. In this course-work important CAD models have also been provided as resources for users practice purpose. The course is divided into six different units.

 

Unit 1: CFD Analysis of HVAC Systems

Unit 1 contains 4 videos with a detailed CFD analysis of HVAC systems in a correct sequence. In this case analysis will be carried out at different stages from condenser to Dryer, to expander to Evaporator.

(iii) CFD Flow Simulation through an HVAC Drier using SolidWorks

Unit 2:  CFD Analysis & Optimization of Heat Pipes

Unit 2 contains contains 4 videos with different applications of Heat Pipe to analyze and optimize CFD problems

(i) CFD Analysis of an Evacuated Tube Solar Collector

(ii) CFD Analysis of Laptops with Heat Pipes using SolidWorks

(iii) CFD Conjugate Heat Transfer Analysis with Heat Pipes using SolidWorks

(iv) CFD Parametric Study & Optimization of Exhaust Gas with Heat Pipe -SolidWorks

 

Unit 3: CFD Analysis of Heat Exchangers

Unit 3 contains 5 videos with CFD Analysis of different types of Heat Exchangers.
